About Me:

My name is Danielle Miret (formerly Danielle Sammario). I'm going into my ninth year of teaching where I've been so lucky to teach at Sunset Lakes Elementary. Ever since I was little, I dreamed of being a teacher. I would set all my dolls and stuffed animals up as my students and made my mom buy me grade books, white boards....you name it I had it! I graduated from Florida International University with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education with Reading as a specialty. Upon completing my student teaching internship at Sunset Lakes Elementary, I was hired and have been there ever since. I've taught 5th, 4th and 3rd grade, and have tutored students from all grade levels, K-6. I've taught all subjects, departmentalized Math and Science, GIfted, ESE, and distance learning online during the pandemic. These last two years I was so lucky to teach the Gifted 3rd grade class and move up with them to 4th grade. This August, I'll be moving back down to 3rd grade Gifted and the following year loop up with them to 4th. After all these years, I still love teaching! I love interacting with the kids and getting to know them on a personal level. When I see those lightbulbs go off or that "I got it moment" my heart is fulfilled.

My husband and I live in Davie, Florida with our three cats and one dog....only fur babies for now! I love going to the beach and being outdoors. I enjoy helping others, animals especially, and spending time with my family and friends.

I've tutored for many years and would work late nights after work tutoring kids from my school which is out in West Miramar. I decided this Summer to try branching out to families that live in my area and offer online tutoring services that are flexible with dates and times, and can be done from anywhere!
